I can’t swim.Do I fit all of the stereotypes of a non-swimmer? In my eyes, yes! I’m a 30-year-old African-American man with a fear of water, so when my wife mentioned a cruise for our honeymoon in 2014 I immediately thought of the Titanic or being stranded out at sea on a broken cruise ship. It took 3 months of talking about it for me to agree to take a cruise to the Bahamas, and it was an amazing experience. However, it was still expensive. We all want ways to enjoy a vacation and get the most bang for your buck, and today I’ll explain some key tips on how to enjoy a fun cruise for under $1000.
Winter is coming. It’s true, whether you like the cold weather or not! Winter is a great time of year for travel since you have so many options, including heading to warmer climates (a favourite of mine), exploring Christmas markets, doing winter sports or experiencing the sheer beauty of winter. Some of my favourite travel bloggers have put forward their top choices for winter destinations this year… where will you choose to go?
2017 has been a pretty crazy year in terms of travel and blogging. This year, my blog started to pick up, my Instagram hit 100k followers (woohoo!) and I went on my first press trip. Although not quite as catchy as my 2016 (21 countries in my 21st year), 2017 was definitely more epic and probably also more stressful! Here goes a round up of a crazy year...
The Badlands is definitely one of the most underrated national parks in the USA and is a must visit when in South Dakota! The main thing I struggled with when planning our trip to South Dakota was the best route through Badlands National Park and the best viewpoints to stop at. I was really surprised by the lack of information pertaining to where to stop along the Badlands loop road for the best views of the park. So, of course, I made a guide about it once we got back! Our trip to South Dakota and the Badlands was part of a larger road trip covering Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Montana and Nebraska so our start and end points for our route through Badlands National Park were affected by our onward journey to Mount Rushmore and down into Nebraska. So, if you're planning a South Dakota road trip and are looking for the best route through Badlands National Park then keep on reading!
